Combat Hapkido Red/Black Belt (2nd Gup) Testing
To receive your red/black belt at
Palm Beach Combat Hapkido, you will be required to know and demonstrate several
techniques and principals of Combat Hapkido.
To test for your red/black belt in combat hapkido, you will need to have had a minimum
of
40 hours of training and will be required to demonstrate
18 new techniques (156 total) including:
- Two hands grab two arms (front, above elbow) - 2 techniques
- One hand should grab - 3 techniques
- Lapel grab one hand - 3 techniques
- Lapel grab two hands - 2 techniques
- Belt grabs - 4 techniques
- Defense against hostile handshake - 2 techniques
- Full Nelson - 2 techniques

Defense against hostile hand shake
Step into uke and strike the radial bone in his wrist, follow up with knife
hand strike (palm down) to the neck.
